NHL Contraction (Read On)?

I really don't support the idea of creating 12 team conferences. As you said the league, the league has gotten too big and several of the non-tradional teams have not gotten the recognition they deserve. That being said, I think if you eliminate the non-tradional markets, I think the league will be more stable and the remaining USA markets will be given a better chance to become more successful.
