Tongue ring!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Need a heads up about it!?

I am about to get my tongue pierced in the next 3 weeks or so. Before getting it done I would like to know about how the piercing process works, what it feels like during recovery, how long recovery takes, and what foods are best to prevent infection while healing. Also Im not sure if piercing it towards the front or back will effect if I'll have a lisp or not, if so which is a safer spot to pierce? If you have a tongue ring can you tell me if you like it and any suggestions?
