Is it true or false that God is sovereign?

Sovereign means ruler or supreme ruler. God is the Sovereign of all creation. His being sovereign does not mean that he is directing everything that happens in life, though he could. You are given a great gift, free will. So when you decide to do this or that it is up to you not God. But God is concerned with the choices you make. God does provide help for us to make wise decisions in his word the Bible. If God were to control every little thing we did there would be no need for his word. So we know it is true that he is sovereign. The way he chooses to deal with us shows that he is a benevolent ruler that does not control our every move. He allows us a fair amount of freedom.
